ILANGA NTABA GOLF GUIDE

Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge is ideally situated for all the golf courses on the Hibiscus Coast – often called the “ Golf Coast ” of South Africa.
Wild Coast Sun (20 mins from Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge) (see top image)

Probably the best known of the courses on the Hibiscus Coast. The scenery is simply spectacular, with the golfer having to play over ravines, dams and even a waterfall.
It is a rugged and beautiful course with rolling fairways, big bunkers and extensive greens.
Under sublime weather conditions this is a testing golf course, but when the prevailing winds blow, an entirely new dimension is added. It is ideal for amateur and professional golfers alike.
San Lameer is one of the top 10 golf coursesSan Lameer (10 mins from Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge) is rated among the top 10 courses in South Africa and lies on a large nature conservation area. The course is superbly manicured with a few easy holes mixed in with the tougher ones.
It combines breathtaking beauty with an exciting and demanding golf challenge and will be a golfing experience to remember. It is not for the faint-hearted. Water is a significant feature.
Southbroom is a pricturesque and interesting courseSouthbroom (8 mins from Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge) The course is both picturesque and interesting with an abundance of birdlife and frolicking monkeys.
Southbroom does not pretend to be a championship test but a few hours spent on the course are guaranteed to restore one’s sanity. Whales & dolphins can often be seen enjoying the warm currents of the Indian Ocean.
Port Shepstone golf course is naturally stunningPort Shepstone (20mins from Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge) is quite stunning in its natural beauty situated on a scenic piece of land alongside the mighty Umzinbulu River. It is famous for is two distinctly different nines. The first nine is laid out in a well-wooded challenging part of the land.
The back nine is closer to the sea and is far more open with definite ‘links’ characteristics and even a gentle sea breeze.
Margate golf course is an excellent lush and well manicured courseMargate (10 mins from Ilanga Ntaba Guest Lodge) is a well manicured, extremely lush course in excellent condition.
It is only a couple of kilometres from the sea but is situated on relatively high ground affording excellent inland views.

It is not the most difficult of courses but it is no pushover and the short 11th in particular will deceive many a player.
